Solanki stated that the previous government had also assured relief for Delhi’s villages, but the implementation was delayed, and nothing was implemented, now the people of the villages expect relief soon from the present regime.

The Palam 360 Khap chief, giving a clear message from the entire rural belt, apprised the MCD leaders that they will not agree on any House Tax in the Lal Dora and extended Lal Dora areas, as it has been discussed earlier.

This comes after yesterday’s development when the standing committee had proposed a House Tax waiver for plots with a size of up to 200 square meters in the said Lal Dora areas, to which the village representatives have not agreed, according to Solanki.

The Khap chief shared that the MCD almost 25 years ago had talked about giving tax relief to plots measuring up to 100 square meters in the villages of Delhi, but it was not accepted by the villagers.

Meanwhile, Solanki said that the entire rural belt had been assured of relief, and it had given complete support to the current regime across all 28 seats that are part of the village areas of the national capital.

The rural belt leader said the talks with MCD leaders were positive, and the Mayor, and the Standing Committee chair have assured that they will very soon chalk out a solution that will be in favour of the rural residents.

The meeting was held at MCD headquarters, Civic Centre.

Rural belt leaders who also attended the talks include Chaudhary Naresh (Lado Sarai 96), Suresh Shokeen (Nangloi 8), Rajiv Beniwal, Ram Kumar Rana, Azad Shokeen, Rohtash, and others.
